Artist Statement

Lori Latham is an intuitive abstract painter based in Portland, Oregon. Her work is both vibrant and tranquil, inviting viewers into quiet spaces for reflection and retreat.

She is known for her ability to create rich, layered surface and nuanced visual textures.

Central to her practice is the use of non-traditional painting tools and the exploration of varied paint viscosities. This experimental approach brings energy and depth to each painting.

Latham’s current body of work moves between abstract landscapes and her distinctive “Colorsplash” abstract paintings.
