ARTIST STATMENT

I’ve been in love with watches and clocks for as long as I can remember. I began wearing watches at age four.  At seven years old, I begged my Mom for a Charlie Tuna watch.  I ate tuna sandwiches every day for several months so that we could accumulate enough labels to send away for it. I loved that watch.

My parents were both born and raised in Hawaii so I spent my summers as a child surfing, snorkeling and playing on the beach. The ocean became a large part of who I was. Not only did I identify myself as part of it; I also found that the never-ending rhythm of the waves relaxed and consoled me. The ocean always made me feel that everything was going to be all right.

I’ve taken my ocean inspiration, along with those feelings of hope and faith, and poured them into my collections of timepieces.  The brilliantly colored mixed media dials not only tell time but also serve as an art piece for your wrist. Made with an engineer's eye, using only the finest materials, these watches are a stunning complement to your style, attitude and flare.
